Outwood Academy Acklam provides outstanding PE experiences for subjects across the age and ability range. We believe that PE is all about developing skills, tactics and gameplay but also the crucial life skills of leadership, communication and working as a team. At Outwood we provide a range of different activities to help engage students but also develop fitness and a lifelong love of sport.
The Physical Education course at Key Stage 3 provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to access the OCR Cambridge National course in Key Stage 4. Year 7 and 8 students are provided with different activities to develop their basic skills, knowledge of sport and how to perform as part of a team and as an individual. These activities will include Badminton, Table Tennis, Lacrosse, Hockey, Rugby, Netball, Handball, Dance, Tennis, Football, Fitness, Cricket, Athletics and Rounders.
