After 2 years here she made the decision to move back to the North East and start as Head of RE at a school in Redcar. Alex remained here for 10 years, taking on a variety of roles which included Head of MFL, Leader of Citizenship, Leader of Learn to Learn and as an Advanced Skills Teacher in Teaching & Learning. From this role she moved to Bydales as an Assistant Headteacher responsible for Teaching and Learning, moving from here to Ormesby School in 2014 as Deputy Headteacher and was promoted to Associate Principal during her time at the school which became Outwood Academy Ormesby.
