Dan Hands - Vice Principal Deep Experience

Dan began his teaching career in 1996 in South East London, teaching music. Shortly afterwards, he became a Head of Department at Hurworth School, Darlington. He then moved to King’s Manor, where he was a Head of Department, Head of Year, a House Leader and more recently, Head of the Expressive Arts Faculty.

Dan’s underlying principle in education is that all students, regardless of their background or starting point should have the very best education.

Dan has recently been promoted to Acting Vice Principal in charge of Deep Learning. He is relishing the challenges that this will bring and looking forward to being able to have a greater impact on the lives of our students.
